I would like to thank Prof. Wilson for his review of Oinos. Il vino nella letteratura greca; but, at the same time, it’s a pity that he did not recognize the audience for which the book was intended. Some features of the book, such as its small size, the transliteration of all Greek and the lack of footnotes made it clear that the authors just aimed at sketching the significant role of wine in Greek literature and culture for the sake of readers who are not familiar with the classical world.
