Paul Murgatroyd (BMCR 99.2.16) takes Charbra Jestin and Phyllis Katz to task for the choice of passages in their Ovid Amores, Metamorphoses Selections (Wauconda: Bolchazy-Carducci, 1998). Readers from the United States will recognize at once that the selections are those prescribed by the Advanced Placement examiners for the Ovid option in the Latin Literature examination. Jestin and Katz cannot be blamed for choices that were not theirs.
